Well, finally I think we have seen the last of the snow! Several of the groups who use the community centre had to cancel due to poor weather. However, I belive that we are to have warmer weather for a spell making the community centre buzz again!

I have made a page that lists the various groups who use the Community Centre. If you require times and additional information in regards to the groups please send the secretary (me) an e-mail.

Let's look forward to spring time as the snowdrops are now appearing and the daffadils are starting to make buds. What a glorious time is spring!! Can't wait!!

As you can see, photos have been added to the welcome page. I am hoping to change them from time to time with some photos of our church.

Soon I will be adding a message from our Minister and possiably our Senior Church Steward.

Today Shirley & myself (Graham Fox) went through the various ways of adding content to this blogengine site so that Shirley can maintain content & administrate the site.

This is a brief update on the progress on configuring the site.

30th June 2008

E-mail tested - currently email does not go to Shirley Hassall's email address but to the web administrators (Graham Fox).  This will be changed to Shirley's email address once the site has been handed over to Shirley.  To ensure that email addresses don't get targeted for "spam" they will not be published on this site.  Please note: Shirley's email address will not change. 

Google Analytics - I've installed a script to check on the site access.  This means that I (Graham Fox) can report on the site access i.e number of hits and where they have come from around the world - it does not allow anyone to see exactly who is using the site, just where they are from.

Dear Visitor, 

Welcome to the start of things to come.  This is to document the first steps in creating a dynamic website for Norton Methodist Church in Letchworth Garden City, England.  The site specification includes showing what Norton Church and it's people are all about, to provide information on events past and present, to allow administrators to add content of interest and to allow visitors to the website to leave comments on the various posts. 

For security reasons any comments you leave won't be visible until they are approved by the site administrator - this will ensure that the site won't have any unwelcome comments left on it. 

Over the next months please bear with us in case of any problems - until the website has been running for a few months we may have some bugs to contend with !!!
