Centenary PowerPoint Presentaion

by shirleyhassall 8/16/2008 5:49:00 AM

I have added the PowerPoint presentation that was shown during the Centenary weekend to the Norton Centenary page.

It shows photos of Gypsy Smith and the original mission as well as Norton Methodist Church beginings and up to the present day.

There is a lovely photo taken of a rainbow over the church and a lovely snowy day in December 2003.

Take care,

shirley

When I have found more, I will add them.

Please go to the page 'The life and times of Gypsy Smith' and click onto the links to veiw the contents.

Enjoy reading!

Summer at an end.....

by shirleyhassall 8/12/2008 2:49:00 AM

Hi! Smile

It seems that the English weather does not disapoint! Once the summer starts with mostly cloudly days and bursts with down pours of rain, it will continue to do so the whole of the summer holidays!

Our family treked via coach to Cromer for a day out and although it was cloudy with a few rays of sunshine showing now and again, it was a enjoyable day out.

The sea was calm and the beach was full of sand castles made by all ages. I do like the beach. I always visit the ocean when I am visiting my dad in California, which has it's own uniqueness.

But never the less, share the same peaceful quailities that remind me that God is a wonderful creator of giving us beauty for not just our eyes, but all our senses. The roar of the waves and screaching of the sea gulls for our ears. The smell of sea weed and fishyness of the fishing boats as they come back from their daily catch. The taste of the fish as we sit enjoying it with chips and mushy peas, and the feel of the sand as it squishes between our toes as we walk along the shore.

I hope your summer holidays have been great and free from any disapointments or troubles.

Take care and God bless,

shirley
